The Jim Knowles Group is a team of specialist consultants in occupational health and safety (OHS), Risk Management and training. It brings together people with a wide range of skills and experience, both practical and theoretical. The Group provides a full range of OHS, Ergonomics, Risk Management, Auditing and OHS Training Services to a broad range of industries including mining, power generation, marine services, building construction, aviation and heavy industry. It encourages a ‘zero accident tolerance’ philosophy and promotes prevention through appropriate training and education of the workforce and the development and implementation of high quality OHS and Risk Management systems and procedures.

The objectives of the Group are to:

• Provide a timely, appropriate advice and service from qualified professionals to our clients
• Deliver well-written reports that are understood and used by our clients.
• Communicate accurate and up-to-date information in a form that is readily useable by and acceptable to our clients
• Conduct high quality training and education programs (both accredited and custom-designed) which target the needs of the participants
• Encourage our clients to undertake regular monitoring and evaluation of their OHS performance against their own and external standards and benchmarks
• Establish a basis for ongoing improvements in OHS performance in our client organisations

Jim Knowles Consulting is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and under the auspices of the New South Wales (NSW) Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board (VETAB) conducts courses and training for all levels of the workforce. It also designs and conducts customised courses.

The Group has affiliations with a large number of OHS professionals in Australia and overseas who provide specialist consulting and training services in a number of areas under the Jim Knowles Group banner.
